Volkstock – Friday 10th & Saturday 11th, November 2017
Camping has always been something we have enjoyed at Volkstock. So this year we knew it was time we get more room for all the Volkswagen show cars, vendors, swap, RV’s and all the VW buses that enjoy getting to the event early and camp out for the weekend. Pleasant Harbor and Marina located at Lake Pleasant was a good fit for what we wanted and to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy the space and freedom of camping and beautiful lake views. Last year we had such a big turn out we actually couldn’t fit any more show cars on the field. Now we have room enough for more than over 800 cars.

There is so much that Lake Pleasant offers. There is the Dillons BBQ restaurant at the marina which is walking distance from Volkstock. Also at the Marina is the Go Sail AZ, Go Paddle AZ, and Phoenix Cruise Boat. A good opportunity to get out on the water. Also right up the road is hot air baloons if your looking to watch the sun rise. We will be in contact with these businesses for discounts while at Volkstock. We will also have games going during Volkstock, like Volleyball, and a Corn Hole tournament.

If you have a full size RV no problem, we have purchased all of the camping sites at Pleasant Harbor for the entire weekend. Now there are two types of camping. Dry Camping, which means no hook ups. Tents, RV’s, Campers can pay $20 a night and camp anywhere in the Dry camping section. If you have a group of people that want to be in the premium section which has the hookups and are backed up on the grass areas you can spend the $40 per night. This is perfect for those with a bus club, or people that want to bring there RV and have electric and water hook ups.

Now lets talk about fire pits, each year we do everything we can to allow this. Pleasant Harbor does allow fire pits (wood and gas) as long at they are containted like the one in this picture. Nowhere can you have fire’s going on the ground. Security will ask you to leave if caught doing this.
